That garden is looking ready nice!

Why don’t you use the artisan checkpoint? The little box to stand in and a toll bar should be easy enough to scratch build.

Yup, already ordered those along with a few guards in their thrilling tales set.

I may well end up scratching the box and barrier yet....not a fan of the laser cut sets available.

Cheers

Kind of you to say so - thanks!

Chateau base colours going on....update pic soon.

I realise too a standard placemat is the exact width of the back of the model....perfect to form the formal back garden....may cut that out soon too.

Edit:  long way to go yet....

But more done.

Going to get the outside finished.  Basically, windows and doors, sandbags, shutters and crest to go.

I’m going to add a few details.....planters, some lamp posts.

Cheers mate....but was missing a few bits.  Now done.   I will be adding a few planters when they arrive and the indside can wait until I’m really bored one day.....but for now the Chateau is painted.  Looking forward to gaming with it.

I’ve also ordered a nazi flag to be hung over the front entrance if I want to portray a headquarters for example.

Well that's turning out Propper.

Big fan of the modular garden. I suspect I'll be more of a fan of the new garden module. Simply because it's already interesting( Veg garden's spot on. Just more interested in the formal. As I've never made for anything other than a formal Roman villa garden. It's already got design elements I've not seen outside of 1/4 scale .)

I'm looking forward to seeing what your going to do with the touring car. But then I would be as I've only seen one painted by me and stuffed it with the varnish.

You asked.  I still need to sort out climbers on the pergola....but apart from brushing the grass when it dries, I wasn’t going to go mad with it...after all...it is for wargaming on!

If anyone can recommend suitable garden table and chair set....?

I had bought a D&D fountain with Neptune on it....and I like it but my mother have me a little white ornament of a cherub on a sea conch which I thought rather charming.  A couple of bits of slate from the garden, a dash of paint and I like it!

The low box hedging, n gauge hedge, is Jamie’s suggestion...works a treat.

The fountain will come in for something else I’m sure....
