Fairly straight forward I think.

Personally, you could have them digging with spades, using a knife to probe the ground around a mine, placing satchel charge or marking out safe path through minefield.  None of these need much in the way of specialist equipment.

That's what I did with most of mine. I did scratch build a couple of magnetic mine detectors for some armies but they were pretty easy.
For CoC you actually only need 1 or 2 Engineers figures of each type as their 2 meat shields in each team can be ordinary riflemen.

Yup, that’s I what I reckoned on above...especially as most of a pioneer unit weren’t issued with back packs I read.  So, yes, extra bodies filled with painted troopers.

Luckily most ranges tend to at least have a flame thrower team available.

Now to paint a few Brits for Normandy.   Thankfully Warlord have a set of British Pioneers.

Your conversions are always interesting and effective.
With that in mind I thought you might find this an interesting take on a sniper figure and an interesting conversion in it's own right.

I'm in the same boat, I want some engineers, but I really don't need another box of Warlord plastics. Making the kit available separately would be a real seller I am sure.

Oh, and I feel the same about Shermans vs Cromwells, though I do comfort myself at least there are different Shermans.

may I ask who makes your jeep crew?
GM (me) - you spot a 70 year old grey hair little old lady.. Clutching large leather bound book and a uzi.

“Tom”- “She has a Book!!!”

“Danny”- “I put a bust of M4 fire between her eyes” rolls…

Phil- “if he misses I put a shotgun slug in her face”

That’s the Delta green baby"

Hopefully Shahb will catch your question.

Anyway, I am chuffed to say Jamie delivered my Cromwell squadron yesterday.  Really pleased with them!

I also managed to paint a few test Tommies too.

Firefly covers the Cromwells advance towards the farm.....

It all looks great when put into context like that.

Like you, I cannot wait to game. Not long now.
All the best!

Jamie.

Hi Deltablue - the Jeep and crew are Westwind. They are slightly smaller than the Perry plastic GI I have, but it's not noticeable when they are in the jeep.  I think they are very convincing as a crew.

Digits the British armour has come out lovely. Nice job, very appealing set of pictures. I do like to see stuff like this, it's clearly practical and achievable yet sets a really high standard for immersion in the game. I'm pretty sure that's the same mat I have, so all I need to do is work on my other terrain :)

great work on the pictures David, and the AFVs are brilliant Jamie.
I think that if offered enough (£££££s) Jamie might be tempted into commissions.

Cheers guys.

Shahb......huge part of the game for me.   You want to believe you are there.....immerse yourself in the game and try and use the terrain / features as indeed you should.  I always remember other peoples games when they have put the effort into their setting.....I am just trying to carry on the courtesy.
