Been meaning to paint up some British Airborne for a while now.

Thought I’d best scratch the itch and get stuck in, so looking for quick and dirty way to get them done…..so test minis.

Not had much spare time this year so it's been quite interesting catching up with your progress.

To be fair mate, I haven’t done much at all…though I did finally get to put paint on your staff car…..in my Europe Ablaze thread.

Meanwhile, I’m attempting to paint Denison smocks on a full platoon at once……doing my head in!   Would be good to have a second allied alternate force done.

Also, I’m on the look out for old Warlord airborne jeeps, as I fancy making a rapid recon force, though not yet sure how to field it in CoC…….

Talk about doing my head in….I decided to batch paint the denison smocks……now I feel distinctly drained! Lol

I think I will finish these off in batches now….just to preserve what’s left of my sanity!

A great battle and report - that last one there.  I can imagine that victory feeling a bit hollow.  The Gods of War(games) have a weird sense of humor....

The first section is painted, along with a few supports.   Light isn’t brilliant,

Yes I like the crates…..it was a toss up with the warlord canisters…..but these have way more character about them I think.

Love what you did with the drop canisters. I made them a little oversized and emphasised some of the more prevalent details. Otherwise they just disappear on a table.
The Drop zone markers are quite useful too. As they're marked with the correct signal panel arrangement. For safe tobdrop( wicker hamper) ,and dropzone over run.,( the one with the wrecked  jeep). There's  an ammo dump thats useful for representing a HQ building or feature. If it's any help I did the jeeps,6pndr, and Howitzer( incidentally it's the Airborne version other manufacturer's didn't bother checking the difference between Air portable and Airborne! Also the jeeps are heavily research too.)

I will take another look.     I love the para range you have there…but it wasn’t going to fit with my warlord stuff so much (saying that…the size diff between warlord plastic and metals is atrocious !).   

I may one day take a plunge with 1st corps minis….if I ever decide to scratch the itch of something domestic.    My grandfather, bring a farmer was reserved occupation and was in the home guard.  Maybe something a little “Eagle has landed” with a few paras, civilians, home guard………one for the future.
