Bot War
« on: August 31, 2020, 10:53:52 PM »
I saw Ash form GMG painting up stuff for Bot War, and now it's got me curious. The range of minis is huge! I love the not-Transformers aesthetic of the setting and the minis. Has anyone played it before? Thoughts on the game? I'm curious to know more.

Played a few games, it has a nice "Beer and Pretzels" feel, light on rules, but flows well and is quick to get a game in. It suffers from the same issues as a lot of games with a single writer/publisher, in that some of the wording is awkward or not as intuitive as you'd like.
Overall, Bot War is a great "fun" game, not to be taken seriously, but fast playing and pretty easy to get going. The minis are great too, which helps.

Here's an AAR of my first real game:
