The Kobblestone Warp
« on: September 11, 2020, 07:38:17 PM »
A friend of mine purchased the Kobblestone Roman fort about 4 years ago and has finally decided to start painting it.
https://www.kobblestone.ca/catalogue/Roman/index.htm

Unfortunately when he re-opened the box today he found that some of the main wall sections had warped and the tower supports are twisted out of shape.

He says that the box is still in mint condition so does not think that the parts got damp whilst in his basement.

Any thoughts on trying to straighten them?  The usual "hot water" will not work as the parts are foamcore skimmed with resin - as another friend found out to his cost :-( )

I suggested warming them with a hairdryer and clamping to a solid flat surface.
Wargamers do it on a table.
