Wow, looking good, it's grown quite a bit since I last saw some pictures. I too would love to visit but doubt if I ever will get there.

Thanks for sharing and it has certainly been worked on since I first saw it in detail on the Timeline TV series!  :o

Yeah, it's a place that I really want to get to for a prolonged stay but have never managed it as of yet :(

I was just thinking to myself about this place the other day wondering how it's getting on. Thanks for the pictures, as yet another person who wants to go there they're a pleasure to view.

I really want a castle now  :'(

Might have to build one, can't afford any of the available ones.

I saw this on the History programmes, glad to see it continuing
& coming to fruition.
I too want a castle, but I want these guys to build it for me.
It only requires a moderately big Lottery win.
On a more realistic level, if anyone in the UK wants to organise
a trip (post Covid) I'm sure there would be a lot of interested
LAFers.
Do they plan a village around it next?

Koppi,

I wasn't sure about the copyright law of advertising something on a forum so thought a PM more appropriate; you might be interested in the link that I've sent. :)

Glad to see this project is still garnering attention - loved watching the TV programme that showcased the project. This is a must-visit place for me too post-covid.

Cool. I bought the Haynes book about that castle, a lot of it I used as inspiration for my 3d built castle kickstarter campaign. I'd love to see it in the flesh myself!

Another one who'd love to visit. Maybe a LAF trip when the present unpleasantness is over?

Excellent!  I've been there a couple of times.  The first time I went there was about 10 years ago and they'd just finished the great hall and were cracking on with the round keep.  The second time I went was about five years ago and they'd added another storey to the keep and were close to finishing the chapel tower.  So it's great to see that they've finished and roofed the chapel tower and made massive progress on the curtain wall and the four front towers.  They only existed as footings five years ago (i.e. only as high as the top of the dark brown stone layer).  Can't wait to go again.
