Wargames Illustrated freebies...
« on: October 03, 2020, 12:16:45 AM »
This month's toys are a sprue of Samurai type underlings. If they're any good to anyone drop me a pm and I'll post 'em off.

:)

The fella behind the counter in Smiths said to me "Ooh! What are the free figures this month?" when I approached brandishing the latest issue. Don't usually get that kind of response in there.

The sarcastic, snarky side of me that lurks just bellow the surface felt like saying "I dunno, you tell me, I'm buying them from your bloody shop."   But I didn't, I was nice and friendly instead.  It wasn't "Are you new to the Games Workshop hobby?" at least. :)

Anyway, don't need them myself, but good for you for your generous offer, Harry.

I'll assume they're a small sprue from the Warlord (read: Wargames Factory) Samurai range?

Yes, ashigaru, I believe. Looks like enough bits to make five guys, with some long spears, back banners, a big banner and some variant heads.

Yep, that's em... ashigaru type ratings.
This I learned from reading the painting guide in the mag!
