Hi all,

I am working on my Celtic oppidum... these are early WIP on wall sections.

It's one of my favorite forms of fortification to build.(actually have a series of round house's and oppidium on a commissions wish list to do for the beginning of next year. So I'll enjoy watching your progress.)

Will you add an area of vitrification to the wall as a variation in detailing ? Or build an optional embankment and ditch to sit the whole thing on. So you can go full hillfort as and when the mood takes you?

Not sure what I will do after I finish the stone wall and few round houses. On the wall I have plan to build timber or wattle fence (still not sure).
Good idea about hill fort. 👍

That is excellent, I was looking at your wall and thinking "I've been there" it took me an hour wading through my photos before I realised it was Mont Beuvray or Bibracte as it used to be called in the Morvan area of France.

Great reproduction of a Celtic fortification.
