Edward IV at Towton 28mm.
« on: October 13, 2020, 09:26:33 PM »
A Vignette of Edward IV at the battle of Towton 1461, a mix of Perry, Crusader and Steelfist. I sculpted a crown on Edwards helmet, and the chap standing next to him is John Lord de Clinton. Mostly Pete's flag's with a re painted black bull, the small supply cart carry's a barrel of wine and other goodies to keep the young King in fine spirits!

Lovely  :-* :-* :-*

You've captured the the arms of England on Ed's Tabard really nicely  8)

The cart and the pewter cups are a really nice touch too.

Excellent. Beautifully composed as well as very well painted  :-*

I’ve painted that royal tabard on my (mounted Perry plastic) version of the King, and it’s flipping difficult to fit all those details in!

Nice use of the Steel Fist figures too :)

I think Edward had only been (the self-declared alternative) King of England for about two weeks by the time of Towton, but presumably he would have made haste to get all his kingly regalia made up well in advance ;)

Lovely paintwork! Especially on the freehand badges and heraldry!

You wouldn't happen to run the The Bloody Roses blog, would you? A lot of really excellent content there if you do! Keep up the great work!
