Looking for small, fantasy "evil" cannon
« on: October 22, 2020, 04:53:47 PM »
Hello fantasy geeks!

I have a few sailing ships from Blood and Plunder (and love 'em) and one undead fantasy ship (Reaper's Stygian Barge).  The B&P ships come with cool little swivel cannon, and light cannon to arm them.  They're about 1.5-2" long, and fairly small (imagine what a thigh-high cannon might look like to your typical 30mm humanoid) but they also look very conventional (which is good, given that Blood and Plunder is a historical game!)

Does anyone know of any small or small-ish fantasy cannon I could use to arm the Stygian Barge?   Spooky, ghostly, evil, or otherwise non-historical?   The larger guns from Warhammer Fantasy (like Dwarf or elf Cannon) are often a bit too large, so I'm really looking for something a wee bit smaller.  But maybe a big 'un might serve as a centerpiece artillery with which to rain down death and misfortune upon any mortal foolish to come within range?

Any advice for me would be most welcome, thanks!

Might be worth a look at Mantic’s abyssal  dwarf range -  they have a number of canons and mortars, which might suit.

look for historical Chinese (Boxer) Renaissance Ottoman, or Moghul Indian guns, they often look less conventional and could perhaps be cheaper than most fantasy firms charge.

Victorious have a couple such as this one (bit too big for your project):
