Empress release British Jazz Age Imperialism Infantry.
« on: October 29, 2020, 10:37:37 AM »
Something for the early 20th century Colonial fans.

A British 4.52 howitzer including its limber and ammunition limber and of course crew in colonial uniforms with Wolseley pith helmets.

Something to strike fear into any enemy. Perfect for keeping the Afghan hoards at bay.

And quite impressive the lot looks too...

Incidentally, do you have an ETA for the recently previewed Jazz Age/WW1 British infantry in Wolseley helmets ?

Just waiting for more stock to arrive so later next week they should make an appearance.

Not sure that this is the correct room to post them though. Although this is the Colonial Adventures room it may be better elsewhere. ;)

They'd be equally at home in the WW1 and Interwar forums but since the miniatures fit in all three I very much doubt the mods will begrudge you for announcing the new releases here.

And a lovely artillery peace it is  :D
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Of course they won't. Those three boards have quite a bi of crossover, so you just have to pick whichever one you think is best when something could go in any of them.

Which is of course this one. :)

In which case, and as you have always looked after Empress Miniatures nicely we will stay here.   :-*

Some more releases on here should pop up this week  ;)

Todays release is seven packs of British infantry for our Jazz Age Imperialism  range. So if you are fighting on the NWF, or in Africa in WW1, or Mesopotamia or .............well lots of places really, these guys will work for you. Note they have all been spoken to sternly so that they will not run away in a game.

The packs cover, command, medic, Vickers team, Lewis teams and riflemen, across 27 figures.

I’d love to see comparison shots of these along with the figures from Brigade Games Great War in Africa, and Copplestone’s Middle East British.

Many years ago I did some (easy but still slightly tedious) conversions because I wanted some Brits in Wolseley helmets but not in shorts and shirtsleeves to portray my local regiment during their time in the Dardanelles. Since then Woodbine brought out some and now Empress. I knew I should have just waited.  :)
