OW! Really sorry. I mean Colonial Brits (Zulu War or Sudan). I am wandering which manufacturer makes best 15mm colonial brits, but I cant find any pics. Its no problem with finding information about 25/28mm. I've found even 18mm Brits (and great martians, which will be great even in 15mm scale)

Here is the list of manufacturers who make 15mm colonials: http://www.paleotechnic.com/victorian/15mm_minis.shtml

This page contains some pics of Essex 15mm Colonials (specifically Zulu War). Might help you get a bit of a feel for their style:

Can't help you with Minifigs, I'm afraid. But it's a start.

The Miniature Figurines website has a very limited pdf gallery of some of their 15mm Colonial figures on their website (see http://miniaturefigurines.co.uk/Home.aspx in the right hand column).

It doesn't show British infantry but their cavalry, camelry and gun crew might give you an idea of their quality (though the pictures are not brilliant either  :-[.
I don\'t know whether to be a good example or a horrible warning.

I started out with Minifigs Zulu War British and Zulus and then replaced them with the Essex Miniatures in the link provided by Plynkes. Whilst I prefer the scupts from Essex, I find the Minifigs have a certain charm to them which is why I still have them in storage. I will try and get photos of some of the Minifigs miniatures for you in the next day or so.

Over the years I've found Minifigs to be very consistant in their style across most of their ranges which was really convenient in the 'pre-internet' days. You pretty much knew what style of figure you were buying if you couldn't see it first hand or in a magazine. I found Essex Miniatures pretty much the same.
