Getting Back Into Painting
« on: October 29, 2020, 08:50:12 PM »
I think the last human figures that I painted were these first 5 Pulp Figures. (I think I was working on some WW1 ships after that.) That was about 4.5 years ago, as best I recall. Had to touch them up and finally got some gloss and then dull coats on them.

Then a few weeks ago my friend Jeff talked me into resuming painting. So was able to finish another 24 Pulp Figures last weekend. These are just rudimentary wargame grade paint jobs, mostly just block painting with a wash. I'm going to try to learn better techniques as the weeks and months roll on, now that I'm looking at painting videos on YouTube. These 24 figures will add to my pulp games set in China, SE Asia, South America, and Africa.

Sailors have more fun!

Really nice. Like riding a bike eh?

I must pick up some Pulp figures, they are very nice models.

Looking good.  Painted is always better than not painted!  You could try a light drybrush or highlight of the base color before you use the wash to add a bit of pop fairly easily while you work on more advanced techniques.  Pulp figures are fun to paint.

Nice job. I really like the bright colors you used to play against the neutrals.
