Tap's Burrows and Badgers - Beaver Warrior added
« on: November 07, 2020, 01:42:22 PM »
Have just started to paint some Burrows and Badgers miniatures , still not sure if I'm going to play the game but see myself painting lots of these excellent models anyway.

Hopefully my photography skills will improve as I go along.

Excellent little chaps. I am tempted by B&B it’s so charming and brings back nostalgic memories of Redwall.

Keep up the good work,

My kids loved Redwall when they were young and I have a soft spot for it as a result.

I recently got really stressed doing a project (I'm just built that way) and have decided to just paint miniatures I like the look of with no real motive - these from Oathsworn really fit the bill.

I only buy stuff in small amounts so I don't start to feel overwhelmed, maybe half a dozen models at a time.

I've sold/given away the piles of stuff that had accumulated in my house and am feeling much better for it; I've even got loads of time to play with what I have rather than it sitting unused as I continue to add to it.

However, given your username it seems unlikely that this is a path you would follow  lol lol lol.

:D Ah it’s like you know me! My mountain does stress me out yet it is a BALM for my soul (the acronym was unintentional yet increasingly accurate) so I’m kinda stuck between the devil and the deep blue...... luckily I can tread water like a sea otter!
You’re right though, backlog doesn’t help. I regularly give bits away and sell through eBay but being retired due to ill health very early it’s my only source of hobby funds (barring crimbo and b’days) so I try and husband it to make the most out of it (that doesn’t stop me giving away old or valuable minis to people I like) as I still have things I’d like to achieve.
The time of the purge is coming though so if you want lots of squats, all of man’o’war or numerous other old school or classic hobby whatnots my mountain is rich with treasures :D

Keep up the good work,
BALM

With his crew so far:

Reasonably happy, very pleased with the wet blending on his red coat, less so with the edging on the dark green.

Just too much hand shake, it's why I've relied on dry brushing for edges for so long.

Really great work ST! Hand shake is annoying but can be minimised by keeping your elbows low and pressed against your side, pressing your brush hand against the miniature holding one and breathing slowly and calmly (well they help me, a few of the meds I’m on can make your hands quite shaky and irritating).

Keep up the good work, really charming!

Last one for now is this Otter crewman.

Will need to wait to see if Santa brings me any more before placing an order :) .

Now he is excellent, sculpt and your paint scheme/job. The yellow is an great choice and really nice tone. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you get more for Christmas.

Keep up the good work
