Fantasy miniature ID...hurrah!
« on: November 14, 2020, 01:41:26 AM »
Just found a random bag of miniatures in the garage from early 2000's.  I think I recognize one of them, but some of the others have me stumped.  Thoughts?

I think 'A' is a Confrontation knight?  And D looks like some Reaper figures I had before, but I can't find him on their page - maybe I'm looking in the wrong line.

PS: If this is just a big batch of Reaper Minis, let me know - I'll go crawl through their massive lineup to find them. :D

I can’t say for certain but I’ve got a bunch of Reaper too and those bumpy large bases seem to be fairly common on my Reaper minis. Not much help but you might be right about most of them.

Yeah, one of them says "RMI 2003" on the bottom, which I'd assume is Reaper Miniatures Incorporated(?) or some such.  Looks like I'll go troll the whole Reaper Dark Legends catalogue... :D

Their figure finder widget should make life a bit easier. It shows me that your dual wielding Dwarf is Asgeir Redbeard.

Yeah, late last night I crawled through 67 pages and found at least eight of them.  Still looking for: A and J. I can't find D either, but I recognize his style as matching an older figure I had.

They ended up being all Reaper, so I assume the last two might be as well.

A is Andras, Overlords Captain from Reaper
D is Tariq, Nefsokar Sergeant from Reaper

No idea about J, but it sure looks like Reaper, too.

Gotcha.  Thanks!  I'm keeping the sergeant as I like him - the others are going on eBay, so the last "J" guy will just be included.  I couldn't find him on the entire Reaper site, but if everything else is Reaper...there's a 95% chance he is.  I probably picked these up from Neal at the Warstore back in the day - just have zero memory of it.

Make that 99.3%, as I have the figure, painted, and I am that certain he is a Reaper.  I think a Sandra Garrity sculpt - but a little less confident there.

Gotcha.  I figured he may have been different because he's friggin' HUGE...even compared to the other Reapers.  Thanks, all!

J is a special edition Wizard of Faith - J Weibe sculpt from Reaper in 2005.

"As a result of the destruction of Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf Coast region, we have decided to produce the Wizard of Faith limited edition miniature. Sculptor Jason Wiebe has generously donated his time to create this special miniature. The Wizard of Faith will only be available for a limited time, and all profits will go directly to the Red Cross. We will have an announcement when the Wizard of Faith becomes available for purchase within the next few days."
