Something to listen to while painting
« on: November 17, 2020, 08:36:56 PM »
Hello fellow fantasy painters,

I don't know whether posts like these are encouraged here, but sometimes I stumble on a bit of information on the web which I want to share with fellow hobbyists.

This time it is a talk given by Tuomas Pirinen, designer of the legendary Mordheim and WHFB 6th Ed, about the game design choices behind Mordheim and the possible reasons why the game is still played today.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igFsgDPqJwg&feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR3Rj-RvnFfUJwDd4u6u9N9kTNFmsTHqGiIN853gxnoeg99UGyXW6rTq0Uw

He is also currently working on another miniature agnostic fantasy tabletop on which he sometimes provides updates on his Facebook page. I am excited to see what this will be about.

For me it is another reason to paint up some Oathmark armies. Always good to have synergies  lol

Fantastic video. Played a bit of Mordheim back in the day, so this was great to check out. Cheers!

That's fine to post it, I'd say it's of interest to people here. It's only really when topics like this get into an endless tug of war over individual opinions that they can sometimes outlast their welcome.

Tanks, good to know!

I don't post (or am interested in) political stuff of any kind and try not to post otherwise divisive stuff since one of the reason why I am liking this forum is how well meaning and on topic the conduct here is.

In the case of the video I wanted to share it as Mordheim still seems to interest people and the video was...well... not an obvious find unless one knew where to look for it! Hope some people enjoyed it!
