Hussite artillery wagons
« on: December 09, 2020, 01:15:50 PM »
Rather silly question....I've ordered the 1st Corps artillery wagon, but looking at the pictures on their site....How the hell were the guns loaded? I suppose they could be breechloaders, but it just looks impractical otherwise?

A lot of early artillery pieces where breech loaders, the Perry artillerymen have breeches ready to put in the guns, they would have been held in place with wooden wedges hammered in behind them.
