882 AD - Trier and the Vikings
« on: April 16, 2023, 11:10:59 AM »
Fans of The Last Kingdom series are excited for the series' closing film, which released this week on Netflix.
This report shows that we experienced something similar here in south-west Germany during this time.
Have fun while reading.

An interesting read, and some nicely painted miniatures! Thanks for posting this, and for providing the English translation.

Very interesting facts I didn't know or was taught when I visited Trier with my class or whenever of many times I was in Koblenz. Thank you very much for the history lesson. I will consider this for one of the coming Saga games as soon as my Vikings will be ready to set sail for the Rhine...

Very nice reading. Which figures will you use as adversaries?

Great stuff, the Vikings certainly took advantage of the infighting between the Frankish lords and kings.

They raided in our area of Carolingian France during the same period from 799 to 1076 the Loire, Maine, and Vilaine rivers being the main routes for shipping in western Francia. I have a small article about them on my blog
