Thanks for the suggestions.
 :)

For a Rhino I already have one of these...

...and one of these to form the basis of a Predator....

...to work with, along with an old classic Rhino that has seen better days, which may get repaired or just chopped up and parts used on the above.

That's an old GI Joe/ Action Force AFV! I had one of those that I converted into a grav tank based on a White Dwarf article. Very cool.

The next six figures have been coloured-in and based. including some of the 'rescued' Marines from earlier...

..and in a jungle setting.....

The other six have been finished and will be based later this evening.

While I certainly prefer the Tā moko look of newer Space Sharks, these are cool, too!
The sword is sharp, the spear is long! The arrow swift, the gate is strong! The heart is bold that looks on gold, the Dwarfs no more shall suffer wrong!

Thanks, chaps.

Cheers, mate.
I have tried to put an 'effect' on all of the power and plasma weapons to indor to break the otherwise monochrome effect of the group as a whole.

I love the old skool Marines, so most of the force will be made up of earlier figures.

Cheers!
Whilst I appreciate that these will not suit all tastes I am trying to find a blend between my very first Marine force (from 1987!) whilst incorporating the new colour scheme and fluff from the novels rather than going for the more modern take on the Sharks.

Gotta love the Sharks.

 :)

And here they are, that is all of the converted/rescued figures from the last batch now done.

These twelve figures will form the base of two Assault Squads that will be added to as and when I acquire and finish the figures.
I am currently aiming for an average of eight to a Squad to reflect the under-strength nature of the Company portrayed in the novels, so each of the above Squads still require a couple of additions.

  • I've only had a few ales...
Belter.  8)

I'm really surprised how well the new weapons and helmets fit on the old figures, I had assumed they would be oversized.

Thanks!
I was pleasantly surprised too and will be making ore use of them in future, especially the earlier MK's of helmet as I look the look and think it fits well with the non-standard supply methods described in their background.

I am happy with how they are coming along.

Here are the Apothecary and Librarian (low level as I intend to convert a higher ranking one as his mentor).

I am not really happy with these pictures, as the colours make them a sod to get decent shots of, and was going to redo them but have decided that I really cannot be bothered to do that at the moment, maybe later, so these will have to do...
