Stynylrez primer not curing.
« on: June 08, 2021, 10:57:14 AM »
I've been a happy stynylrez user for a while now. However, I've been having problems with it not going off on some stuff recently.

It's resin items. Two different manufacturers so I don't think it's the particular resin, they were done different days and it's not all the items. The actual resin looked fine and felt no different to the touch from areas which have primed without problems. Milliput stuck fine to it for gap filling. The resin was washed (scrubbed!) and left to dry before priming and in the case of one of the vehicles, it's had the unset primer wiped off, been washed several times, cleaned with white spirits, isoprop and finally white vinegar and then re-primed and STILL has gooey spots on it. And it's not the whole castings, it's just areas.

I've done other resins/metals/plastics/reaper at the same time and they're fine so I don't think it's the primer or the room conditions.

I've tried leaving some in the sun, I've tried keeping some cool... no change.

Anyone come across this before? Know what it is? How do I fix it?!?!?
