This all looks gorgeous, but how does one play a minis game of this sort over zoom?

I copied the model being used by Two Fat Lardies and others. I organised the Zoom call and sent invites to the players; I also sent force lists so that they could draw deployment diagrams and send them back to me to set the game up.

I used a webcam on a high tripod to get an overhead view of the battlefield and also logged in a tablet as a ‘battle cam’, which could be moved to different parts of the game to give close ups. Players rolled their own dice from home - I did all the troop movements from the players’ directions. It’s really busy and you need to know the rules well so as not to slow the game down, but it works.
