All at Sea - Conversion Work Part Two, 80-gun ship of the line
« on: December 12, 2020, 10:28:47 AM »
The final part in this series of three posts looking at converting the Warlord Games range of age of sail model ships focusses on the 80-gun conversion of the the third rate offering.

The long hulled large third rate was a popular command ship in the French and Spanish navies and were increasingly used in the British Royal Navy as more of them were added to the fleet through capture but with only two built in British yards between 1793 and 1815. Thus any collection would benefit from having a few of these models in the line.

Often it is better to remain silent and let people think you are stupid than to open your mouth and remove all possible doubt.
