50th Infantry Division Tyne Tees build
« on: December 14, 2020, 09:30:34 AM »
My next month or so concentrating on building my British for Normandy in 44.

I intend to build long quite a bit of the division for DDay and some of the support elements

First cab off the rank will be the 69th Infantry Brigade

BHQ
 5th Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment
 6th Battalion, Green Howards
 7th Battalion, Green Howards
 division support elements

Progress so far this week

Figures are all 20mm Britannia

I then want to do the DLI, No.47 commando and the crab flails of the Westminster dragoons, plus RMASG, and other support elements, engineers, artillery etc for Dday and inland.

Cheers
Matt

I look forward to seeing how this project pans out. Looking great already!

Nice work, lots of progress for a week!

They seem to be well served with support weapons, I assume the large bases with a few troops at the back are for guns?

Yes mate AT guns, artillery crews are yet to be based as I like to diorama them up a bit more.

Added some research for British Heavy Artillery batteries in Normandy

I have just completed 40 odd gunners for my guns, now some vehicles and guns to paint to complete my batteries of RA.

research includes suitable 20mm miniatures and availability
