Thanks Syrinx0. I will have to have a look at those,
as well as not building before measuring.

I am in awe of your collections.

Interesting about the availability of the XL lids - Vallejo paints do not quite fit in a standard 4L box, but might in one with the matching XL lid.

I have...six 4L boxes, maybe three 9L and a half dozen of the largest ones in my collection for storing DF collections.

However, I do have another 10 hefty containers for storing various terrain...and then some more for...damn, I have a lot of plastic bins!

Watch the delivery charge though, it's a fixed amount depending on the size of the order and therefore works out a bit expensive on a small order. Get together with some mates and put in a big order!

Ryman’s in the U.K. do a click and collect service from some of their stores which can cut down on postage costs.

And Ryman's also do free deliver over £40 IIRC, and often have multipack sales that work out very cheap compared to standard pricing. I prefer the 4 litre boxes, as they will usually be large enough for a standard Chain of Command platoon plus (non-armour) supports. So for club games it's easy to grab the accessories box, the two platoons and the armour box(es). I probably have 40- 50 in total at the moment, and add to them regularly.

....

Since making it for myself, others asked to buy it and it is now one of the most popular items on the Sally 4th web site. We send out 100's every week to collectors all around the world.

The XL lids are quite tall, so you will have a bit of wasted space I think.
