Good grief, they actually MADE some of those?  Man, I would love to have seen how well they stood up to the wear and tear of carrying the 88, much less firing it!

They lasted from when they were built until the end of the war so they must have been tough old beasts!
Made in spring 1941 destroyed by the Soviets in 1945 in Budapest.
Though i did read that some were used in Berlin.

Thanks :)
It's going to be the original dark grey and I think it's going to be in transport configuration as it'll be far too big and fragile otherwise

Life colour dark grey plus strong tone wash.  It's under my daylight working lamp there.

It'll get a dry brush and a grime wash too.

I like the dark feel to the result.  It makes them feel more menacing for some reason.

Imagine trying to do a 3 point turn in that.

Looks great though.

That is immense!

Great work, clever and a great looking model.  Looking forward to the final paint finish.

Just need to drybrush the crew and I think it's done...  I've done it packed in transport mode but I'm assuming it could probably fire in an emergency.
Might base it as it's a bit of an awkward beast with delicate bits front and rear.
