28mm Indian Cavalry for WW1 Mesopotamia

Afternoon fellow gamers,

Here is the final unit off the blocks prior to the start of the Analogue Hobbies Winter Paint Challenge. The paint desk is now clear waiting the starting gun in a couple of days time.

I've been searching (and posting) about my search for suitable figures for Cavalry for Mesopotamia over the last few months and here is my latest journey into the more obscure corners of our hobby.

I came across these on the Newline Designs website, hidden away. I know Newline more as a 20mm Napoleonic manufacturer so I was slightly surprised to see them.

The proportions looked a bit off when I got them but they have painted up a treat, steel Lances courtesy of North Star and a couple of plastic swords from a Gripping Beast plastic set.

I like these alot and with Newline doing a 25% off sale in the new year I can see a second unit in my tarot cards !

Lots of pics and link to the figures on the blog post above.

Regards Ken

I had no idea Newline was making these either. Your unit looks great!

Great looking unit! I would love to see some close ups of these troopers.
Got to kick at the darkness till it bleeds daylight.

Very nice, really like your collection. Also impressed with your gaming cloth. It captures the sand/rocky terrain well
