Classical Indian Elephants
« on: December 27, 2020, 11:29:45 AM »
Classical Indian elephants from Museum Miniatures' 15mm CAD-designed "Z" range:

The rather natty designs on the over-blanket are actually WW2 tank decals (Soviet IIRC), and have turned out even better than I expected. This is something I hadn't tried before, but I got the idea when I saw some 28mm elephant-specific decals being used when I was researching how best to paint the pachyderms. I sat there thinking "if only I had some 15mm elephant decals that I could use", which turned into "I wonder if shield transfers would work", and then finally into "gosh, I seem to have a lot of spare tank divisional marking decals, I wonder if they would work"!

There are four more versions on my blog:

Smart use of the “bits box” bits, they work very well.  👍

Love the designs of the blankets.  Funny about the source!

These look really nice and colorful as they should be!

Good game report.
