I think we all need more details of this feat  :o

I managed about 40 28mm figures this year although rebased a lot of figures as well and did a few terrain bits and pieces.

Moved house back end of last year so busy with that and lockdown just meant working from home but busier than ever.

Big respect to other people’s productivity. Now feel lazy and lacking in commitment so I feel a resolution coming on to try and get say 150 figures done next year.

Big respect to other people’s productivity.

I wasn't able to stay on a project for more than a few weeks so while I did paint a few models it was scattered and disorganised.

I managed to paint quite a bit over 2020 but it was so scattergun and unfocused I may as well have not bothered.

Next year I aim to stick to projects a bit more (then again I always say that).

As someone who spends their hobby time dipping in and out of the various projects I have on the go depending on my inclination and not in accordance with any grand plan it is quite an interesting idea to try and work out what I have actually finished over the past 12 months. I have therefore conducted an audit and the items I have completed in 2020 are listed below (all 28 mm scale):

48 x gnomes (less than half human size)
5 x human sized figures (1 x metal/3 x plastic/1 x Reaper Bones)
2 x CD sized pieces of terrain
1 x large zombie-producing cauldron
1 x sled piled with bodies
3 x cheap plastic tank conversions for 40k

Total: 60 "things"

I also worked with my young son to paint 6 Reaper Bones goblins and one plastic lizardman (basically he applied the base colours, washes and dry brushing and I neatened up a little after each layer if required and added a few details at the end). For little effort on my part the result is quite respectable and includes enough of his work for him to be proud of them.

It is not a very impressive total compared to most others on this thread, but on reflection I am quite pleased that I have maintained focus enough to create the core of a coherent fantasy force, and I have had fun with the sci-fi tanks. After reviewing my stuff I have realised that I have about the same amount of work in progress as I have actually completed items this year, including half-painted terrain, vehicles under construction and figures assembled and primed, so I have a solid foundation for a productive 2021.

Games: 5 (3 of which were with my son since lockdown began).

I am in awe in some of the completed numbers others have! We have been gaming a lot this year as we moved to virtual gaming.  I managed to paint 220 28 mm figures this year which is fairly good for me.

some of you sure have been able to dedicate some time towards painting. For the rest of us anything over 0 is progress and time spent in a hobby we love. I really found that keeping track of what I had done led to a feeling of accomplishment. I did not get to the end of the year worried or ashamed about my (growing) lead pile. Instead I looked back and though "wow, I got a lot done".

After painting nothing for about 4 years, a friend of mine talked me into starting to paint again about 4 months ago. Have painted 101 figures, all 28mm. 98 are Pulp Figures, 2 are Foundry, and one is Copplestone. Also touched up the 5 Pulp Figures that I painted 4 years ago.

What I'm feeling equally good about is that I offered to give a couple of my friends any figures that they could paint. They had never painted minis before. One had a few Warhammer 40k figures of his own. But now he is painting skeletal and goulish pirates. My other friend is painting Foundry and Pulp Figures for a fictional banana republic. My collection of unpainted figures is simply too large for me to ever be able to paint it all myself. And this is increasing the number of painters and painted figures in our community.
Sailors have more fun!

A good year for me:

Miniatures Painted:
15mm Foot:  895
15mm Horse:  199
15mm Vehicles/Buildings:  51

Games played: 42

Lockdown really helped. Although I was working long hours, no commuting and no outside activities freed up a lot of time for wargaming!

I keep a tally on the blog, so will have a look at the summary and get the details. My painting rate is silly - 2019 was over 900, 2018 over 800.

2021 should see me clear and done. 25 mins a day works wonders.

I have lots of projects on the go at the same time and just switch between them as my interest changes, so there’s always work happening. Finished a number of projects this year which’ll speed the others up accordingly

I'll end right at...198+9 (about to post them), so 207.  About on par.  I had way too much free time this year, but I am not a painting fiend.

For 15mm, I consider a base of 2-5 miniatures as a "single" miniature for my yearly count.  I also don't count terrain, which I painted a bunch of.
2024 Painted Miniatures: 203
('23: 159, '22: 214, '21: 148, '20: 207, '19: 123, '18: 98, '17: 226, '16: 233, '15: 32, '14: 116)
