I dip my finger in water to stop it sticking to said finger when smoothing it out.  If I am too liberal with that it is absorbed by the grease proof paper then runkles up.

I presume you can use the same trick for flexible rivers?

I’ve watched one of the playtests on your channel and will be watching the others soon. Could you give an overview of the magic rules? From what I could gather each spell has a target number to roll, and you need to take a rest action to cast again, but couldn’t see if it was 1 or 2 actions long.

Great looking game Jaye.   Eagerly anticipating the fantasy rules.

I presume you can use the same trick for flexible rivers?

I used the same method for rivers and streams in addition to roads.   While the plastic wrap I used for the first batch worked, waxed paper is better.   The caulk is available in different colors.

Look perfect! I can use the same brown caulk and leave sections of it as the riverbank when I paint over it.

Played a solo fantasy game tonight and had a blast. Looking forward to the full rules and magic!

Squirted my first roads and rivers out just now and added the sand. I’ll leave them overnight to dry. I’m not convinced I left them thick enough to peel off successfully! I’m also worried the grease proof paper may just stick to them. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Well, they peeled off fine! Just a few bits on the underside are a bit soft still so I turned them over to dry. Next I’ll paint and drybrush.

Is the sand just sprinkled on the caulk? How flexible is it, when its hardened? Does it sit stable, or its easy to accidentally push them away while the game?

It would be worth starting your own thread on this, as it is starting to stray from the original thread. Roads are a great terrain feature and often not given as much attention as other features less often used. Thank you.

No problem. Which is the best subforum for that?
