20mm or 28mm, it should do well for both. No real time period, it will have a concrete base though.

Derelict or just not very well maintained water tower - wip.

lots more red to add, and rust, and concrete base, etc etc. I'm aiming for December

That Focke-Wulf Seaplane is awesome. The winter camo is particularly nice.

The tower looks a bit toyish to me, but I´m sure the final result will be great.

Well, propably cause it is a toy from a toy race/train track :D I'm having a hard time finding good, proper metal stuff like that. This was a steal for something up to 50 eurocents I believe. Can't beat that.

Thx Crhis :)

Agree on that. Just wanted to express that this piece will take some work... the proportions look a bit awkward. But anyway, I´ll wait for the final piece.

My first (proper) holiday in quite some time so time to get old stuff done asap.

Some more progress on the floatplane, redid the base (much smaller now) and started chipping the floats. Also decalled the well known rune onto the tail. Should be done this week.

A old die cast toy train that scaled remarkably well to 20mm I traded with V quite some time ago. The rather bright green scheme it had wasn't quite me so I repainted it last night. In an hour. Just cause I felt like it.    You will see it back someday in my (future) cityscape and (much sooner) bunker complex for hauling supplies like secret prototypes etc.

Then we have a HaT FT-17, a little tail mod on it, ready for airfield and bunker defence. And also my entry for the Guild painting competition. Never had this much fun chipping   Barring the rune (which I use for certain items for my pulp bits) completely historically correct (well, I copied off a pic  :D )

And last but not least for now, my WIP Patrol boat for my modern skirmish. Based off a toy, very extensively reworked, magnets imbedded in 3 positions for various weapons (so I can use her for Yanks, Germans, Russians and rebel/pirate scum. Think Pirates of the Vistula for anyone familiar with Twilight 2000. And yes, I have a Vulcan minigunturret heading my way as we speak to mount on the aft deck.....)

The deck gun can be freely swapped and is a, wel I think anyway, 37mm or 40mm gun from one of my 1/72 S-100 Schnellboote kits that was spare. Working on a sanbagged crows nest, radar, small turret, deckcargo etc.

I'm a fan of magnets, in case you coulnd't tell ;)

Soon more!

Finally finished putting together my nr 1 catapult (and I have another one to go). Magnetised the cradle so it sits steady on the rail, and added a slightly raised magnet to create a light pull on the aircraft. Light to medium bumps to the table have no effect on it, only really slamming into it made it topple. But with the magnetised prop, it just comes off with no damage done.

And yes, my workspace is in a dreadful state, something I will remidy right about.......now

Aargh, will this chipping never end? (no, as I'm not done yet)

More chipping, then rust......not too much rust though  ;)

Wow, you've been busy lately.....

I like the little french tank. But then again, I've alway had a little bit of a soft spot for that quirky french design-mindset. As far as tanks goes, at least.

The boat is shaping up nicely, can't wait to see the finished item!

Bye, Erik

Love all the items in this thread. Did this project continue in another thread? I tried your blog but it's only from 2012.

The Me-108 got its own topic with Crimson Skies (1938 Texas) and the water tower is still in my to finish pile. The rest of the stuff either broke or got lost during the last 2 housemoves and I'm no longer into pulp in 20mm as no one games that and I have very little time for the hobby anyway.

What did you use for the patrol boat? Who made it?

This looks very promising! You're planning to run that game somewhere in a Dutch vicinity, by any chance?

Pijl, see 5 replies up. Practically all of it is gone or broken or sold. Apart from the occasional 28mm pulp figure to paint for fun, I just focus on 20mm and 6mm WW2 now.
