Tomb Raiding ~ A Solo Frostgrave Game
« on: January 04, 2021, 05:13:52 AM »
I decided to try a solo game of Frostgrave with mixed results. I played around with the turn sequence a little to make it less predictable and overall the game worked well. But it was missing something... A real opponent. That's not a fault with the game, it's how the game is supposed to work.

Have a read of my blog in the link. It worked. I enjoyed the game but it was lacking. It's not RoSD and I think that's what I was hoping for. I wrote up a full battle report and expressed my thoughts and bit more.

Here's a few pics:

Nice looking game.
With lock down affecting the world I suspect that there is a lot more solo gaming going on, but as you say its not quite the same.  Have you tried playing against an opponent over something like Zoom (or similar)?  My group has found that it works for some games but not for others.  We haven't tried Frostgrave yet.

Great pics mate. Really like the setup.

Solo gaming is indeed not the same, but it's a great chance to use all your model collection and share some great pictures with the rest of us :)

Love the terrain, and the minatures complement the setting nicely.

Thanks for the positive comments folks. After some thinking I've decided to continue Solo Frostgrave and see where it takes me.
