Everyone in Little Piddling on the Cete knew the story...many years ago, a noble, but arrogant halfling, Sir Whotta Coq-hede, led the towns militia off to war.
They left and were never seen again, small halflings who wouldn't go to sleep were warned to sleep or Sir Whotta and his skeleton militia would steal them away.
The children knew it was a fairy tale, despite older halflings swearing on their second breakfast it was true.
Then, one still, moonless foggy night, a small halfling child swore she heard a noise like a horn getting closer.....

Vallejo Panzer aces rust colours, working from dark to light using a stippling technique.
Followed by various light washes, Agrax earthshade, Athonian camoshade, sienna.
No fixed pattern, just playing around until I like it!
