Joining in with the Wars of the Roses trend.
« on: January 09, 2021, 05:01:25 PM »
I have decided that it is time to join in with the Wars of the Roses projects that are ongoing. So I dug out the box(es) of unpainted plastic I have and started in with the 3" brush and paint roller.  ;)
So here they are, a total of 144 foot done so far with a load more foot and horse to be done.

As usual more details are on my blog.

Good work with a most efficient look! Did you paint all those 144 figures in 2021?  :o

Thank you gentlemen. They were not all done since New Year, most were started between Christmas and New Year but they have all been finished this year. Sadly the painting bug has taken a break as I am painting horses, I hate painting horses for some reason.  ???

That is quite the muster since Christmas Sir! Your liege-men are clearly keen to answer your call to arms  ;)

A good looking force, great work.

Is it because they never stay still for very long?  Probably the roller tickling them.  Try an airbrush.
No plan survives first contact with the dice.

Finally finished some more for this project.

Two more units of foot

and another of mounted Men-at-Arms.

Almost all done now, just some crossbows and a couple of mounted commanders to do now.

Right, that's it. I have painted everything I have now and hopefully have enough to provide two decent forces. The last unit was some crossbowmen with pavises, so here they.

Having taken this picture I then decided to add some arrows.

And I took the required group shot too.

All told there are 36 horse and 221 foot. So that is the lot, my Wars of the Roses stock has been depleted and there are no more here to be painted.

Thanks for looking and I'll see you on the next project.

OMG thats quite a bunch of "dolls" looking damn fine indeed.
I need to paint some more meself, but admitted its not so easy to find the motivation when you cant get them "dolls" into action due to the C19 lockdown sigh.
