My proposed avatar doesn't want to "join" the forum

Hi,

I've been trying to add either one of two images as my avatar and both give me the same warning - Avatar is either too big or not an avatar.

I've checked the sizes (both less than 80x80 and smaller than 4KB).

Can you advise please?

Could you add it as an attachment so we can see what may be wrong with it? It is hard to replicate an error without the trigger.

Sorry - they were being mischievous and wouldn't appear as attachments either, at first.

Here they are, either one will do but I'd prefer the WW1 pilot).

I suspect it's to do with the images not being square (80x80px). I modified the pilot photo a bit and added it to your account.
