Very nice - the “white grey” works well!
Put your trust in God and keep your powder dry!

Superb work.  I’m considering some French at the moment. Even more after seeing this!

Lovely painting! Some of the faces look like the sculpts are maybe a bit difficult?

I have these figures and wasn’t happy with the poses , so I was interested to see what you’ve done with your conversions. I wouldn’t have been brave enough ( competent ) to remove the muskets , reposition and make a new hand and sling. The new figures work very well and your painting really compliments them .

Some lovely painting here, John.

If you allow me a bit of pedantry, the régiment de la Reine you are doing here actually had red facings (i.e red cuffs and collars) with a blue waistcoat, though.

Arthur, would changing the flag help?
To this flag?

Among the French battalions serving in Canada between 1755 and 1761, only two had blue cuffs and vests : Royal-Roussillon and Languedoc (La Sarre had blue cuffs with rest vests while all the others had red cuffs except Bourgogne and Artois which had white cuffs) :

The compagnies franches de la marine also had blue cuffs and vest but if you are picky about it, their coats didn't have a collar.

.

So your choice is either this :

... or that (the one appearing on your pic)

Also keep in mind only the Régiment de La Reine had drummers in the Queen's lively of red faced blue: both Languedoc and Royal-Roussillon had their drummers in the King's livery of blue faced red.
