Great report.  At least TW has the hides intact.  I would imagine it's back into the Zone they go.... ;)

Excellent, I  thoroughly enjoyed the last 2 games ans went back to the begining to re-read all of the reports. Thanks for posting this series. Hopefully there will be more to come in the desolation that is your modern Btitain. The snowy wasteland makes your games stand out remarkably well.

Going back I spent a little more time looking at the scenery you've used to good effect.  I've got most, if not all of the print files you've used but I've not made the nissan/Quoinset huts, it looked particularly effective in your setting.
Did you just hit the small gas containers with a rock to crush them? I have a couple of these and wondered how to use them, your idea is effective, stops them rolling round.  ;)

While I like the concept of Zona Alfa I've not been very impressed with the clarity of the rule book, and because of that I never looked at Kontraband but reading this makes me think it might be worth the effort, do you have any thoughts on that?

Anyway, hope to see Dell Boy back in action soon.

Thank you for the comments guys, Trotter Watch will return once they've done some smaller jobs and re-equipped.

@ Vagabond

I've rarely played against others so wasn't concerned with the lack of clarity some sections had in the original book.

Kontraband is much better and I have a crib sheet for every action with a page reference for the rulebooks which helps enormously.

My passion for the game is predominantly based on two things, the randomness of what you'll find at Points of Interest and the problem solving required in ensuring the best suited PC is in a position to attempt the task - the fact that this isn't always possible as their other skills may be needed elsewhere keeps me interested.

I would say that any failings in the system are unimportant to me as I only solo this game; PvP we tend to use Fistful of Lead as my regular gaming friend loves the system.

Regarding the gas cannisters they are pretty much as I found them on the side of the road, run over by numerous cars and rusty - I reckon flattening them with a hammer then allowing them to rust outside would b the best bet.

I usually play with one or two others and any difficulties with the rules are unimportant as we work around them.  I usually set the games up and so "run" the opposition, supply the figures, terrain and all the cards etc.  In the cards and crib sheets I reference the rule book pages.
If something isn't covered I create rules or adjust existing ones.  In fact, when I got "Kontraband" I found that many of our adjustments were very close to the new rules.
I suggest playing the original "Zona Alfa" rules a few times - the scenarios in the book are an excellent starter - before you use "Kontraband".
The time limit enhances the game putting a real pressure on the players.

Where are your stalkers from?  I’ve been using the Stargrave Scavengers.

They're all kitbashes from Star Saga miniatures, Wargames Atlantic and Bolt Action Germans with various heads/backpacks.

Details of them and lots of the other stuff I build as my lockdown project are in this old thread:

Mine are from Foundry Street Violence, Hasslefree (from when they could be trusted), Warlord Project Z (survivors and weapons), Bolt Action (Russian and German heads and parts), various Frostgrave bodies modernised with Bolt Action and other weapons, Copplestone scavengers and anything that fits.  I use kitbashes mostly now.
Vehicles are mainly old toys and terrain from junk.

I bought some of those polythene Centurions several years ago on ebay from China, converted them into Scifi and post apoc vehicles.  Cannot find them now.  I have looked on ebay where I got the last lot but cannot find them.

Where did you get yours?
