Abu's Flint & Feather
« on: January 25, 2021, 07:23:19 PM »
Been meaning to get these done for ages. With a new release planned for later this year, I simply had to get my first batch done. So, here are the initial Huron and Mohawk war bands. I've got some fun stuff like canoes and shaman types on the way.  These guys below could use some more body paint, but can't summon the motivation currently. Cheers!

Great stuff! Which colours did you use for the skin tones?

Thank you all very kindly! Really liking these figures and I'm looking forward to Champlain's arrival to my painting desk.

Wu - I used the Foundry South American Flesh triad as a basis and added a little off-white/ivory for some final highlights. The only other addition to the recipe would be that I've used some dilute contrast paint or glazes at the edges (against clothing, etc) to soften the line a bit while still giving a bit of a depth/blacklining effect.  Hope that makes sense. Pretty straightforward (to me) ;) !

Great stuff! Which colours did you use for the skin tones?
