Eggbox ruin
« on: January 29, 2021, 06:47:04 AM »
Needed a ruined cottage for a scenario I'm putting together so knocked one up from cardboard and a couple of eggboxes (edit: and mixed gravel of course).

Only took a couple of hours to build and paint.

Tempted to use the technique for a few more fantasy buildings.

Looks really good. It reminds me of abandoned cottages/buildings I've seen while hiking in Scotland and Wales.  :)

Nice texture. It looks really good.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Nice texture.
I agree, and the tufts provide a nice contrast to the dark stone and rubble.

I love using cardboard egg cartons for terrain. The unfinished side has great texture and it glues simply enough with PVA. Nice work!

Looks great and one would not be able to tell that it started its life as an egg box.
