I won't pretend that I know much about superhero comicbooks, but I think that's a big robot he sits in to fight the incredible Hulk when he went evil for a while. Something like that.

You got yourself a new avatar there, right?

ah right - not been up with such happenings for a long while.

new avatar - yes: Ollie from one of the longer films. Prob. Babes in Toyland or The Bohemian Girl.

wouldn't mind close-ups of the smaller figures. Stunning work there too from what I can see.

Right, I forgot to take pictures of those without the big red robot in the middle. The figures have been picked up on wednesday. Maybe I can cobble something together...

Not quite perfect, but alright. -ish. :P Happy weekend!

Super impressive painting. Love the work you have done on these. The faces are great and colours really jump out at you.

@Bloggard: Cheers! She's up there with the most insane plastic figures I've ever seen. The way these spell effect things go under her, up the back and then to the front around the hands is mind-boggling.

@mellis1644: Thanks very much! The good thing about these is that they usually come with a well thought out colour scheme!

Heyhey. Here's something slightly different (but still very much on brand) - a 1:1 replica of the Captain America shield from the MCU films. It was given to me to make it look like it's been in combat and a bit less pristine in general.

The direct sunlight eats away at the effect, but I hope you get a general impression.

Right now I'm preparing Carnage, Venom (I'm so lame, I couldn't remember the name and I had to search "spiderman baddie topher grace". Don't tell anybody! :D ), Gamora and Nebula for painting, so stay tuned for updates soon!

@Davies:Thanks very much. :) I have to clarify that the shield is indeed bought from Hasbro; all I did was add the scording, scratches, ricochet marks and dirt.

Right, so here's the Marvel Crisis Procotol figures!

Venom and Carnage...

Heyhey, one more superhero before the end of the year. Here's Silver Surfer:

I'm willing to admit that there are superfans who are more well versed in the multiverse of the Marvels than I am, but if there's one superhero I can always identify AND name correctly it's Silver Surfer. Not so much Jeremy Renner, Scarlet Romanova, Dr. Teleport and Night Cat, all of whom I also got here and will get to as soon as I can. :)

Hope you like the silver dude!

Oh, I also finally did my write-up of the modern classic that is TTCombat's Dinogas Filling Station (Deluxe!):

https://www.battlebrushstudios.com/2022/12/review-ttcombat-dino-filling-station.html

It's an 28mm kit, but will fit even the oversized MCP figures quite well. And it blocks line of sight, so that's good, right?
Full review of the kit, loads of pictures for reference or just to look at. ;) Hope you enjoy the article and find it interesting!

Chrome is mega hard to pull off right, so many kudo's on that!  :-*

How did you go about it? Did you use metalics, or is it pure NMM?

And the gasstation, aside from the hilarious name, is looking pretty cool indeed!  8)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...
