Thanks!!  :)

And another update...this time the last two Church Servants, number 3 & 4. As with the others I want to have as few duplicates as possible and to show the variety the video game has to offer with some enemies. So time to convert them!
For the first I used hot water to bend his arm with the staff and glued it to his jacket so it would stay in that position. For the lantern I wanted to have it covered in eyes. In the video game you collect "insight" in various ways and it is a kind of way to simulate your insight into the cosmic truth. Once you gain 15 insight the Church Servants change! The lanterns are now covered with eyes and the Servants fire arcane bolts at you...a very cool and spooky change. So I made a lot of tiny putty balls and stuck them to the lantern by using a thick layer of Mod Podge (I love that stuff). A bit of a pain to paint, but I'm glad I did it because it's such a cool feature from the video game.
For the second one I simply cut off the hand with the lantern and replaced it with a resin hand holding the Repeating Pistol (from Klukva's Miniatures Bloodborne models). Super simple conversion and it's true to the source material as there is 1 Servant sniping with this pistol.
So four Church Servants done and all different. Goal achieved! And only three Hunter Mobs left to finish the core box.

Man it's been ages since I added some more models for this project. But this time it's a great milestone, because they are the last enemy models from the core box!*
Three more Hunter Mobs done, in my opinion the worst sculpts of all of the Bloodborne models I have. So I wasn't looking forwards to painting three more. But Yarnham isn't complete without Hunter Mobs! So it was time to finish them.

Hunter Mob

Hunter Mob with torch & shield

Hunter Mob with torch & shield

Hunter Mob with rifle

So now the core box is done I can do more stuff from expansions! Next up will be Forbidden Woods, mixed with some other models (like Large Huntsman and Dogs). I'm looking forwards to doing these. I will also do some photos of the core box soon and add them here.

*technically speaking I still have 3 more Hunter Mob models remaining...but I really don't want to paint 3 more and 9 is more than enough for the game. So I keep it at 9!

Nice. I see what you mean about those figures, but you have still done a really good job with them. Those guys seem quite innocuous now compared with the actual horrors you meet later, but when you first play the game, go up that one street and there are about half a million of them, it's really scary.

Ugh, the Forbidden Woods! I really don't like snakes. Especially ones that pop out of people's heads.  :)

yep - can see what you mean about the figures- but you've done such a brilliantly atmospheric job on them, that you have to look quite hard to see that.
Superb painting.

Cheers guys! Much appreciated :)

But here is the shot of everything together, the core box with everything in it...quite a lot for me!

And the link to the full image:

And boom! I've got more done too...the Rabid Dogs. Probably the most hated enemy type in any Soulsborne game. Dogs can be such a nuisance. Fast and erratic, they stagger you, and you feel like a total doofus if they kill you lol
The models are okay...a bit dull maybe. But they paint up fast!

spectacular ensemble.

And continued brilliance with the doggies. Love the way a bit of perfectly judged OSL is just tacked on to one of them ...

Thanks guys!

The OSL is getting easier and easier to do, now that I am applying it a lot. With fluorescent paints it gets so much easier than with regular paints!

Amazing work! The lighting and colour palette really captures the Yharnam feel!

Getting that typical Bloodborne and Yarnham feel was important, so that is great to read!

I see somebody is making an Elden Ring game in a similar vein to this one...

Yeah, Elden Ring isn't really Gothic Horror (though there is some stuff in there that is pretty horrific), but it is very much connected to this thread.

Yeah, also a From Soft game :). But...the board game is by Steamforged Games and these guys don't really have a good track record on -good- board games. They are mostly okay, but often not that great. And I haven't played Elden Ring yet, so for now the Kickstarter is not for me! And the all-in price is insane too lol
