Well the morning's here, and day light too.
So I can see a little better. Here's a first play with the Librarian.
Still a lot of tidying up to do .Now that the clays cured I can back fill and tweak without putting a dirty great sausage finger through existing bits. Such as the under side which is looking less than clever. Still there's more than enough done to show you roughly what I had in mind. I'm going to ignore it for the rest of the day and get on with some paid work. And take a look at with fresh eyes later.Even over night I've noticed bits that need reworking. But that's what happens when you charge in with out a plan lol

( one interesting in a nerdy way s subtle change is the hands. they'll be repositioned just a little.)(As the pose is a little more open than the finished model simply to get the tooling done with out knocking the detail off. It should in theory make it more of fluid fighting stance. Be either way I'll know if I'm right once I've bent the arms and hands this evening.))

Here's the point  the Librarian is as near done as it's going to look in a photo.
So onward to the next. Which in this case Corporal Nobby. I say it's less than half done .Once again it's enough to show it's sin's .
I'm glad you all like the idea. It's definitely going to keep going and going. Just not always at this speed. As no doubt real world stuff is bound to pop up.But until it does I'm going to on an evening  watching the telly and push clay for fun.

Here's a little more progress on 'Nobby'

I managed to get half way through his crossbow before calling it a night.

An awesome couple of minis - keep going as I really want to see what you will do with the rest of the gang.

After a little more reading I'm still non the wiser. ::) .A change of title seemed in order as I'm four sculpts in , and a sense of what the finished result is starting to emerge
I've still no real game plan. So going with what ever comes out of the clay.
Number four started out as a cunning plan to do Vimes . Only my mojo skipped town as life interrupted my train of thought.
Now its end up being a half baked generic member of the Watch. Still not sure on whether to change it to a leather baldrick rather than the OTT rope one.

Constable Carrot has had the Knicks added to his sword and the hilt shortened. Then a vambrace on the right arm.

Still haven't a pose in mind for Vimes. So I'll ether end up making the Sergeant or Rincewind next.

These are looking great!

Just in case you were looking for any more ideas there is a type of Frostgrave soldier that can be recruited into a band called a "Crow Master". Details are in the Thaw of the Lichlord supplement, but basically it is a figure who is relatively weak in combat but who controls a flying creature that swoops around ignoring terrain and attacking enemies. Maybe an excuse to sculpt Lady Sybil Ramkin (Vimes) and a Swamp Dragon from the Sunshine Sanctuary?
