Old West gaming mats?

Where all can I find old west gaming mats? I'd prefer one to have some roads printed on it. 4'x4' would be my prefered size.

I'd prefer 4x4.

I can recommend Deep Cut Studios, Gamemat.eu, and Urbanmatz.  I think Deep Cut does the better product.  I have not been impressed at all with Fat Mats from Tablewar, but that's from viewing a handful.

You'll be in the $60-70 range almost wherever you order from.  I like the 'Steppe' pattern from Deep Cut and I've been looking at 'Prairie' but haven't been hands on with that one.

Yes, that. Pwork have incredibly nice mats (and that's from experience as I own two), but I don't think they have much for Old West sadly. Maybe worth a look though:

I use fleece fabric. Just buy a yard & 1/3 (=4') trim off the extra foot. Fabric comes in 60". It comes in many different collors. I have one that is tan to light brown like the picture in nozza_uk's post.

I'm lazy and on a budget (as in "I'm not even playing these games, so tell me why I'm spending time and money on them so went with plush fleece as well. Under $20 at JoAnn's in the USA. First pic is by porkuslime on Dakka. Now to find some cheap old west terrain...

You bring up a very good point - one I frequently try to get through the heads of my wayward 20-something co-gamers.

Investment in...is dependent on what you're getting out of a game.  I invest solid money when a game warrants it - either one I'm developing/selling, or a game that I play enough for the money to be worth it.

Definitely don't invest in games that I play once a year or less.  I love neoprene mats, but I won't invest $95 (shipped) unless that mat is hitting the table every month for the next 5-6 years.
