Maultier Ambulance, step by step
« on: February 14, 2021, 01:10:40 AM »
I've put a step-by-step painting process for my 15mm Opel Maultier ambulance up on my blog at http://mojobob.blogspot.com/2021/02/opel-maultier-ambulance-wip.html

Very nice piece of work.

Had a look at the rest of your blog, I really like that Panzer too.

Very nice work, I love me a good blog.

But, what I want to know is: how is the router stabilised to the jack on your other blog? :)

The router's plunge-springs are still in place, so it's held against the jack by spring tension. I could take those springs out (with a bit of work) and it would gain me another few millimetres of travel, but then I would also have to find some way to fix the base (the top) of the router to the lifting platen of the jack — not a completely straightforward task.

I would not have thought that was enough tension to hold it place, but there you go.

Well it's also screwed to the platen, so it doesn't need a great deal of tension.

Thank you!

For sharing your work and the files.

An interior could be printed separately and slid into the opening at the back.

That would allow for easy painting.

Just a thought.

That's the plan. All that's needed now is to pull my finger out and get on to it.
