Richard, nice to see your stuff posted here.
Lots of good stuff on LAF and your posts will fit right in with the rest of the goodness.

I've gotten great ideas and input, and learned a lot of historical details, on the various threads... World War II (of course), WWII-Interwar-Pulp (for my Casablanca-ish scenario), Colonial Adventures (for my ficticious American Volunteer Force fighting in Jack Scuby's Mafrica etc...), and Pikes, Muskets and Flouncy Shirts (for my FIW).

Cheers,
Bill

Cheers Bill, it was Alan Hamilton who suggested I try posting here are non-WW2 is NOT everyones cup of tea on other forum we both visit - the folks here do seem friendly and more open to "off the beaten path" wargaming  ;D

Yes it was me!  And it is good to see Richard here.

Richard and I share a liking for researching and amassing forces for games that are sometimes "well off the beaten path".  Even in World Wars there are often little gems of campaigns that offer unusual forces and scenarios - Italian Invasion of British Somalia (Italy's only victory in WW2?), Iraq in 1941, Operations against the Mad Mullah, East Africa in both World Wars and many more.

@Alan... Richard's other gaming efforts always interest me; particularly The Rif War and Syria '41

Speaking of "off the beaten path," here is one of the most informative and interesting threads I've ever read, and it is right here on LAF -  https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=124316.0  - Tlingits, just amazing. I find myself going back weekly to see what is going on with this project and to see what I can learn about the events.
