Do you game using a backdrop?
« on: June 16, 2021, 07:22:03 PM »
So I’m in the process of making a games room and thoughts have turned to fixtures, fittings and decoration.

Do any folks with a permanent set up use a backdrop? I’m pondering painting the walls neutral but maybe incorporate backdrop fixings onto some of the walls.

Similarly, does anyone use a transportable arrangement?

I painted the wall behind my table a light sky blue just because it looked better when I took photos of my games. I did look at model railway backdrops but most of them are European country scenes that don't really go with say my Darkest Africa or sci-fi games. I thought a sky coloured wall would work with most tables I could set up.

Believe it or not but thats the view out of my back garden. Simple photograph printed out to panoramic size. Costs about £20 for that size.

That’s definitely an option

Nope.  Game all over the place at different houses, etc.  No dedicated space, and definitely no space for backdrops, etc.  I have used a backdrop pinned to a wall once for taking pictures for a rulebook, but it's not commonplace here.

Oh I agree, it’s much the same for me. I’m just contemplating the options now that I will soon have a set gaming space .
