Nice.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

 :o Very nice.

Also good to see a VBCI stl. I mostly deal in 20mm and 6mm, but for years I've had Modern French for Mali and Afghan but no up-to-date vehicles for them to ride around in.

The machinegun team is now complete :

The whole "army" together. I have lot of work to do to have a complete force !  ^^

Coming next is my second combat group, and I've ordered a VBL yesterday.

. I have placed an order which I should get tomorrow- can't wait to start painting.
Can I ask do you wash your figures first (which I always do with resin)

Thanks
Steve

Loving the MG! the AA52 is something the Eureka range was missing, although bizarrely I know the sculptor made one, I have one that I used for a conversion of one the riflemen.

Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo

No, as it's printing resin, not casting. So no lube for moulding.
I undercoat, as I always do, but it's not necessary too....

For the moment, the range from JJG is lacking many things, but I hope it will complete soon.
Especially the FR-F2, still used in many units (especially in Afghanistan), JTAC and other little things.

Steve
As far as I know, the FAMAS G2 was delivered to the french army in 1984, and the last models were built nearly 30 years ago, so it's a very old gun....

The first units of the french army received the HK416 in 2017. You can also use some Colt M4 as main weapon.
So in 2020, no more special forces are using the FAMAS anymore.

All the actual pictures of FSF units show them using HK416.
And you can even find older pictures (I have seen one tagged in 2010 in Afghanistan) showing operators using what seems to be Colt M4 instead of FAMAS.

And just a little tip for painting : french special forces are now shown using the new camo scheme, such as those operators from the 1er RPIMA in Mali in 2013 :

For example, here is a test model for my FS heavy sniping team (old camo on bag/helmet cover) but I must rework a little the brown for the next ones :

Thank you sir !

No paint today, but just a little toy received this week-end from a french 3D printing shop :https://www.ludocortorum.fr/

It's a VBL ("véhicule blindé léger", armored light vehicle) printed in resin at 1/50 scale and shown here with a .50 machinegun. The model needs some cleaning and I must add some details as it was just built for the pic :

and the whole "army" as it stands for now (I'm waiting for my 3rd combat group) :
