Barons War Knights
« on: March 04, 2021, 12:47:27 AM »
Some Barons War knights painted up for a friend.

Figures are Footsore and Crusader (I prefer the Crusader figures but don't tell him)

Very nice!

The two ranges clearly go well together, because I can't tell which are which.

Beautifully straight lines on that heraldry.  I'm hoping there's a simple trick to that rather than lots of care and patience? :)

Very nice! I’d assumed the Crusader minis would be much bigger than those by Footsore but I can’t tell which is which.

Lovely work  8)

Good to see that the Crusader range fits so well with the Footsore range.

Thanks for the kind comments.

The Crusader Mini is the black/yellow striped figure.

The chequered barding is relatively simple if you take your time and I will try to put a simple tutorial together.

Great work,  really nicely done!

The two ranges do seem to work well together; I'm using the Footsore ones to do Scots for the Scottish-Norwegian War and my mate's doing the Norwegians using Crusader figures.
Proudly not painting Wars of The Roses since... ever

They are awesome, both the minies and the paint jobs.

As I understand it, Barons wars is much like Test of honour?? saw some club members play ToH last year, am I correct or??
Not so much into Samurais n Ninjas, much more into Knights :D
Playing or wanting to play: FoW, Swordpoint, Saga, Donny Brook, Sharp Practice, Soldiers of God, Trafalgar, Check your Six, Hail Caesar, Pike n Shotte, Black Powder and much more. main interests in wargaming periods is between Iron and Black Powder.

I didn't play it yet, but studied the rules. It's more an old school system. No tokens to draw, no cards. And more complex rules than Test of Honour.
