ADLG uses 40 x 40 or 40 x 30 bases for all but foot skirmish and warwagons - the old DBx basing still works but that removes a lot of the fiddly small bases.

This is what I use for Sword & Spear now days, although I still have 60 or so pre cut 40 x 15mm & 40 x 20mm steel bases to use up. But I cut magnetic double depth and stick the two base together that way.
If it isn't enjoyable, it isn't gaming!

It's been a while since I last painted these chaps. This is because I ordered them from Xyston and they got caught up in Australian customs for about 3 months. So by the time they got into my hot little hands my enthusiasm had waned somewhat. I started on them but the spark just wasn't there. But I got back to painting them in the past week or so and I have these new additions:

Some light horse.

Noble Scutarii

Balearic Slingers

My whole little army to date. Not enough to face the big guys but enough to make up a respectable allied force.

Ther's more detail of my thoughts and whatnot on my blog at: https://this28mmlife.blogspot.com/2021/02/its-time-for-holiday-in-iberia.html
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Love the shields and details. I don't even get close to that when I try. :)

Thank you.

Here's my most recent additions to my Iberians. Some heavy/armoured cavalry and command. Still not enough of them to form their own army but enough for a good allied contingent.
