Shoulders straight!
« on: March 08, 2021, 11:36:27 AM »
We always got shouted at and walloped at skool for sitting slumped and round shouldered. So wot's going on with His Nibs, he's wearing his epaulets where his bra should be!!!???

Epaulettes were held on the shoulder by buttons. If you then put on a coat over your uniform, fringed epaulettes can be very inconvenient. That is why the flap on the shoulder was unbuttoned and the epaulette let hang forward. This was a common version, due to the fashion of the time.
