How do you capture a single moment in time that encapsulates one of history’s greatest battles? In 2015, as part of the museum’s commemoration of the 600th anniversary of the battle of Agincourt, the Royal Armouries commissioned a bespoke diorama of the battle by David Marshall, model maker from MM Dioramas, and Alan and Michael Perry of Perry Miniatures.Join us as we bring the key players involved in producing the scale-model of the bloody battlefield back together, to discuss its design, creation and what is says about the battle today.Featuring some 4,400 soldiers and onlookers, 40 unique banners, hundreds of wooden stakes and over 1,000 arrows stuck in the terrain, the final diorama is a masterpiece, and a must-see highlight of a visit to the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds. In conversation will be:Keith Dowen – Assistant Curator of Arms and Armour, Royal ArmouriesDavid Marshall – MM DioramasAlan Perry – Perry MiniaturesMichael Perry – Perry Miniatures
